LIFE: Clean Energy Transition
Funding the transition to sustainable energy across Europe
The LIFE Clean Energy Transition sub-programme supports the EU's sustainable energy policies. It has a budget of nearly EUR 1 billion for 2021-2027. The programme funds coordination and support actions to break market barriers and promote socio-economic transition to sustainable energy.
Projects are co-financed in five key areas:
- Building policy frameworks for clean energy transition
- Accelerating technology roll-out and enhancing professional skills
- Attracting private finance for sustainable energy
- Supporting local and regional investment projects
