Grant for Energy Efficiency in Detached Houses
Receive up to 50% grant for energy efficiency in your detached house
If you own and permanently reside in a detached house that is heated by electricity or gas, you can receive a grant for material costs for energy efficiency measures. The grant covers up to 50% of the costs, with a maximum of 30,000 SEK for heating system measures and 30,000 SEK for climate shell measures.
Eligible measures for grants:
- Installation of heating systems (e.g., heat pumps, biofuel boilers)
- Climate shell measures (e.g., additional insulation, window replacement)
The grant applies only to material costs and cannot be combined with insurance compensation for the same cost.

How to apply
Apply via Boverket's e-service. You need e-identification to log in. The application must be submitted to the county administrative board within four months from the start of the measures, but no later than June 1, 2025. Follow and complete your application via 'My Pages'.
Eligibility
You must own a detached house heated by electricity or gas. The house must be used as your permanent residence, and you must be registered at that address. Materials must be ordered after November 8, 2022. The measures must not be carried out in previously unheated spaces. The contractor must be approved for F-tax.
