Material cost subsidy for energy efficiency in small houses
The subsidy aims to support homeowners in Sweden who own and reside in small houses that are electrically or gas-heated. It covers material costs for specific energy efficiency measures on the house's heating system and climate shell.
Eligible Measures:
- Installation of waterborne or air-based heat distribution systems.
- Connection to district heating networks.
- Installation of heat pumps and biofuel heating systems.
- Climate shell enhancements like insulation and window replacements.
The subsidy covers up to 50% of material costs, with a maximum of 30,000 SEK for heating system measures and 30,000 SEK for climate shell measures.
How to apply
Applications are submitted through Boverket's e-service with e-identification. Applications must be filed within four months of starting the measures, but no later than June 1, 2025. Follow your application status via 'Mina sidor'.
Eligibility
To be eligible, applicants must:
- Own and permanently reside in a small house that is electrically or gas-heated.
- Ensure the house is used as a permanent residence and not a holiday home.
- Have the heating system installed by a contractor approved for F-tax.
- Meet the specific criteria for energy efficiency measures as outlined.
Materials must be ordered after November 8, 2022, and the house must have a value year before 1990.
